The Journey
India's wild Northeast on two wheels, with a small group of fellow riders. Start among the one-horned rhinos of Kaziranga, then ride Royal Enfield Himalayans up from the Assam plains into Arunachal Pradesh, through Monpa villages and over Sela Pass to Tawang's great monastery on the edge of Tibet. A road captain, mechanic and backup vehicle travel with the group, and we arrange all Arunachal permits.

Welcome to Guwahati
Meet your group and curator on a sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra.

Day 2
Ride to Kaziranga
Collect your bikes and ride east along the Brahmaputra to Kaziranga.
- 3
Day 3
Rhino safaris
Dawn elephant safari, a tea garden visit and an afternoon jeep safari.

Day 4
Into the foothills
Ride via Tezpur to a riverside camp on the Kameng at Bhalukpong.
- 5
Day 5
Up to Dirang
Climb into Arunachal via Bomdila Monastery to the Dirang valley.

Day 6
Dirang
An easy day to acclimatise: Dirang Dzong, the monastery and the hot springs.

Day 7
Over Sela Pass
Ride over Sela Pass, past Jaswant Garh, down to Tawang.

Day 8
Tawang Monastery
Morning prayers at the monastery, then the war memorial at dusk.

Day 9
Bum La & Madhuri Lake
A 4x4 day trip to the border pass and Madhuri Lake. The bikes get a rest.

Day 10
The long ride down
Nuranang Falls, then back over Sela and down to Dirang.

Day 11
Back to Guwahati
A final ride down to the plains and a farewell dinner.

Depart
Transfers to Guwahati airport.
